(Interestingly, the real actress seems to have gone through actual breast surgery for this movie unless these were very convincing special effects). And even though she has pretty much a perfect body to begin with, she is obsessed with getting a breast enlargement and "takes it out in trade" with the surgeon who performs the procedure. She also has a nice-guy boyfriend on the side, even though both of them play around a lot with other people. She draws the attention of local drug dealers and gets gang-raped, but continues to hang around these unsavory elements and is given as a "prize" to a major drug trafficker who has just gotten out of prison. She then does a stint as bikini-clad beauty contestant. She starts out as a uniformed schoolgirl (although she and her equally voluptuous friends look more like strippers dressed as schoolgirls). The lead, Isabel Cristina Cadavid, is unbelievably sexy and adorable. So while it is an effective social commentary on the allure being a prostitute or drug moll holds for impoverished teenage colombianas, it ironically also glamorizes this same lifestyle quite a bit simply because the actresses involved are so attractive and sexually desirable. This movie is similar to the telenovela in that it casts a number of VERY hot twenty-ish Columbian actresses from the middle and upper classes as younger teenage barrio-dwelling characters. (Also if you happen to be male and more interested in a lot of bared "tetas" than in soapy melodramatics.).

The telenovela is much more well-known and popular in both Latin America and the US (where it is currently streaming on Netflix with English subtitles), but if you don't care for the never-ending, OTT melodrama of telenovela series and prefer a two-hour movie with a beginning, middle, and end, this might be the better way to go. Unfortunately I'm not happy with the new production just like many other fans from the original serie.Despite having a slightly different title, this seems to be a feature-film adaptation of the long-running Colombian telenovela "Sin Senos, No Hay Paraiso ("Without Breasts, There Is No Heaven"). If the production was able to reclute all the original characters, is ubderstandable, I believe they did a good job at replacing them.

Her original character was a more realistic vilan. La Diabla, had a very drastic changer in her character. His character could have had an amazing role for his very interesting life story, but it was completely ruined. I agree with most reviews, jotas character was a downgrade. But in the new one, they have a 32 year old woman play a role of a 15th year old girl? (The younger Catalina) I couldn't concentrate in the story because I keep on wondering the actors age, she look a lot older than her character. In the original Show, Catalina was know for being beautiful, and most importantly for having a sweet young look, the actor fit perfectly with the description. Throughout the show, it's mention so much that the new Catalina is more attractive than Hilda's first daughter, and I do not agree. If this is a show very influence by women's contemporary beauty standard, the new Catalina does not fit for her role. She is not smart, not sassy, no charismatic. The new Catalina is absolutely nothing like the first one, not that she had to be because she was raised differently than the first Catalina, but if you're going to make a continuation and you want your watchers to stay interested, the main character needs to be more enjoyable to watch. Why did they have to change the accents? These accents are awful, I understand that the characters matured but there was no need for that.

The orinal story was a much interesting one. There was no need to change the original story, but it was done, dissaointig all watchers. This serie is nothing compared the first one. "Sin Senos Si Hay Paraíso" is a "continuation" of the previous show. The original "Sin Senos No Hay Paraíso" was an amazing story, following the hard life of a group of girls growing up in Colombia.
